Winter chills – some GOOD news!

Posted on | August 16, 2008 | No Comments

So the August winds have arrived and brought with them this season’s winter bugs. I have had some students cancelling  with sicknesses in the last few weeks. If you have a cough or cold should you soldier on and keep singing? NO! Should you come to your lessons? No – I don’t want to catch it! More practically, if you are singing when unwell you may use more effort than is neccessary and begin a bad habit which can impact on your voice for a long time. Better to take a few days or a week off and recover than damage all the good progress you have been making.

So what is the good news? (Apart from the fact that you can crash on the lounge and watch the Olympics without guilt!)  For those of you wanting some lessons but unable to get in on the day you previously requested, now is the time to contact me. When I get notified of cancellations, if you are on my waiting list for that day, I can can contact you and give you an opportunity to come and have a lesson.

Enjoy your chilly season and keep singing!
