Qualifications and teaching

Dale CoxDale studied privately with Alan Dean for three years before completing a Bachelor of Arts at the University of New South Wales majoring in Music (Voice) and English Literature; her minor subjects were Theatre, Film and Television. She has a Certificate IV in Adult Assessment and Workplace Training and is available for group lectures in voice production and singing. In 2008 Dale completed a Graduate Diploma in Musical Studies (Pedagogy, Voice – Contemporary) at the Queensland Conservatorium, Griffith University, studying under Adele Nisbet and Irene Bartlett. She has also studied at University of Queensland post graduate choral conducting and enjoys choral work. She has developed a large private singing studio where she teaches a wide variety of students, from beginners to professionals, from teenagers to mature adults. Dale is a full member of ANATS (Australian National Association of Teachers of Singing). She frequently conducts lecture series for larger singing groups. Dale has also worked as a private vocal coach at Genesis Christian College, before leaving this position in order to further her studies. Dale was awarded a full internship to the ANATS Musical Theatre seminar in Ballarat in September 2007, and in December 2007 she received the Griffith Award for Academic Excellence. She spent 2008 on the teaching staff for the Young Conservatorium contemporary voice program and is currently on sabbatical from her studies, looking to complete her Masters in 2011. In March 2009 Dale was priveledged to attend and participate in Neil Semer’s Vocal Institute in Brisbane, and continued her passion for singing with  more private tuition with Neil in March 2010. Dale teaches all contemporary genres, including jazz, pop, rock, country, and all music theatre styles.
